Rather than drifting away from private sector risk practice, risk management in government agencies needs to draw some of the same lessons as it does in the corporate sector – more commercial relevance and better use of the well-known analytical techniques of risk management. But in crucial areas of policy, risk in government is different: the state's role in the management of risk is different from private firms and that mean differences in analysis and focus. Our courses can help govenment agencies to refocus their risk lens.
